Hammers night runs, July 4th-5th

Here's the deal. I tried like hell to set up a Hammers run for my club, but everyone that has a capable enough rig is working on it and can't make it. So it's just me and one other (Heywood). Problem is we really don't know our way around. Only been twice when our trucks weren't quite as well set up.

The plan is to go for Sledge, Claw, Jack, maybe Aftershock? Kinda play it by ear if we've done all those and want more. This would be Friday night (4th) and Saturday night.

For those worried about the heat, Chris (withamc) gave a weather report from last weekend..."Hopefully the weather on your July 4th trip is as good as yesterday's was. Mid 80's and enough of a breeze to make it comfortable. The 3 of us ran Jackhammer. Fun day. " That's during, the day. Night temps were reported as much lower by some weather websites.

So, we need more people to go. Would really like somebody with experience running these trails that could lead us around for the weekend. But anybody's welcome to join us as long as they're setup enough and bring spares/food/water.

Hey Garry, that TJ is pretty dayum ugly, and it pisses oil every now and then too. Didn't you run half of Outer Limits with me and Dallas before my front axle blew out? (red YJ)

It would be cool to see you out there again.

I'm down, by then i should have the better part of my cage done, and have an operational winch. I've been there a few times, but I wouldn't ask me to be a guide, we'd be lost real quick. I'm tryin to lean on Spank to go and bring his buddies as well so we'll see

I might head up there on Saturday night, the 5th. I wouldn't mind doing a night run on Aftershock or even Sledgehammer. I've been up Clawhammer, Wreckingball, and about 1/3 of Outer Limits.

If I come out that way, I'll make sure Scott (Po' Riggity) meets us out there. he's skeered of the hammerz, so we need to break him in.

Yeah, I think the fact that I was SEVERELY hungover had something to do with that.

That trail was cool right until my peice of junk crapped out and broke apart.

Anyway, see ya up there saturday night.

So I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it there by friday. I just drove from Edmonton to Vancouver on Sunday, and, well, a J20 with a 360 just doesn't cut it when pulling a trailer, ie slow as hell up hill plus my crappy trailer tires like to blow out at high speeds I will still try to make it down there by Saturday, but we'll see. Went to Walker Valley in Washington yesterday though, fun time but really wet, and someone broke into my truck in the parking lot
