I might take you up on that one. I just ran up this morning and did it quick-like. I was supposed to meet some guys but they didn't show so I ran it alone.
I've been talking with another buddy about doing Swamp lake next weekend but I'm guessing he'll be backed up at the shop and have to sork. I'll get back with you in the middle of the week and see what's up. What time are you guys looking at starting from the trail head.

I here alot of camping spots are already filling up with the deer hunters. My buddies set up camp near the trail head for Swamp near the Sportsman Lake side, but I think we'll do Coyote or maybe Ershim up to Thompson Lake. I drive a white and black 85 4Runner and my friend has a red p.u. with a pass thru that has been bobbed, say hey if you see us but please don't heckle the shiny jeeps behind us, they're slow learners.

I have to change my tranny on Saturday but I'm hoping to take the wife and kids (Aus. Shepherd and rot/lab mix) up Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning and stay a night on Coyote. I'll be in my tan '83 with the hottie in the passenger seat and the mutts bouncing around in the back.

Just got home from Coyote, saw a bunch of vehicles coming into Red on our way out, we were parked having lunch and straightening out my friend's Tacoma's skid plate on Sunday (those trucks are pretty impressive in stock form!) I was driving the red 85' short bed. Was that any of you guys? Oh, I was kinda supprised to see the bypasses somebody put in at two of my favorite obstacles (the very begining of the Coyote trail and about half way in at the squeeze rock!) Are the guys from Lock and Low aware of it? Anyway, the camping was great (no mosquitos!
) and it was nice to escape the heat. Hey, what's going on with the fishing situation at Coyote? It's usually excellent, I didn't even see any feeding Oh well, Good Wheeling........Hans

I was in the tan '83 with no doors. I came in Sunday morning and out Sunday mid-day. I think I passed your group, 4 trucks was it?

I was in the white 4runner surrounded by the motorcycles. I would have stopped, but we got a late start so we were trying to make up some time. We made it to Coyote and met Freds40 for the first time, I think he passed us when we stopped and ate at Red Lake. He also helped part of our group get their bike out.(Many thanks)

Yeah, that was us. Let me know next time you guys make that run again. I love that trail and run it at least 2 or 3 times a year. I wish I didn't live so far away though. Hope you guys had a good time........Hans aka. Oatmeal

Uhhh, next weekend. Too soon for ya. I'm trying to get the wife up there and hopefully it'll be this coming weekend, if not I'll go solo again. I'm trying to get up the hill as frequently as possible but the rest of Sept. is shot for me. Next time you want to run it let me know, always looking for an excuse to head up.

Man, I'm jealous, it must be nice living so close to all those great trails. Some of the guys in our club are doing Dusy some time this month but, I don't think I'm going to make it.
I gotta do stuff with the old lady too
