Hello? I was there, were you?
I broke a rear driveshaft. Saw a quad roll 100 times down Stew's hill. Saw the aftermath of a TJ that rolled 27 times and was crushed flat. But I didn't see you.... You should have been there. I checked at the rr track entrance twice. And the pay entrance twice... But you weren't there.

I apologize, it was a busy weekend and I never got to check the board or my e-mails again after I posted this....
We were there. Got to the Oaktree entrance around 11am-noon I believe. Ran around until about 6pm and headed home. I will put up another post as I flopped my K5 and got pics. Saw a couple Yj's but no TJ's. Sorry man...Mike Quote:

too bad we didn't cross paths. You should have heard it when my rear driveshaft snapped.
I was at like 4500 rpms low first trying the waterfall when it gave up. SNAP, CLANG! "Hmmm, I never heard those two noises before. I think we broke something new."

Spanked the creek, 3 stage, jeep rock, then up to the pay entrance. Got there round 10 or 10:30 I guess. Went back down upper twister, then down, up down, and up twister, ate lunch at twister. Then past the waterfall, and over to the CRACK, up, down, up, down, up, down, up the crack. Then back to the waterfall, I guess it was round 1 pm when we nuked the driveshaft. Fixed it in bout 20 minutes and limped back to the rr track entrance to call it a day. The rear yoke is missing a piece and I was worried that the u joint woudn't stay in. Or we would have kept on wheeling. I would say we were out of there by like 3 pm. The guy in the flat TJ was trying to go up one of them Buggy hills on the flat muddy area that has all the dirtbikes on it. His wife told me that they got to the top, and lost brakes and flipped over backwards. The stock TJ cage was smashed flat with the hood. Full hard steel doors looked like an acrodian and the windshield frame was level with the dash. They were jacking it back up with a Highlift when I was able to get to them. He said he was going to drive it about an hour home. ![]() I offered AAA Plus, but he said he was driving it. That TJ is FAWKED bigtime. His wife came over to my jeep and looked at my CAGE. This is what she said: " Wow! we need one of these thingys. Honey, look at his roll bar." When I told her only 299.00 and the fact that her 600.00 doors are fucked, she was pissed at her husband. I am sure he will be buying a full cage very very very soon. No injuries. How, I do not know. They were very lucky. After they flipped on the cage, back over all the way without touching the wheels onto the cage again, then over again. 3 full flips. According to witnesses. no pics.

Krylon,
As soon as I get my rear shaft fixed, I am always up for another run. But I would rather start at the tracks and park the tow rig for free at the rest stop on 7.

I hate spending $20 for my wife and I to wheel. I have towed into "The Forbidden Zone" the last couple of time because that is only $5. But that hill getting into the forbidden zone sucks towing your rig up.... We are doing Wellsville Sat. Sept. 20th..........If it ain't raining like nutz.

Pottsy,
Park the tow rig at the rest stop on SR7 and drive the Heep to the rr tracks. I heard that the old owner of the track entrance was shot in the head. So we don't have to worry bout getting shot at anymore. That's what I heard. ANd I have used that entrance 4 times so far with no problemo's. This last trip, I followed 3 trucks with quads over the tracks. And they had to put boards down to "ramp" the tracks so they wouldn't get hung up. I told them I would winch them over. But they said they do this all the time. After they go over the tracks they move the boards so the train wont hit them. Seems fine to me.

Where was everyone this past saturday sept. 20th?
I was there from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and didn't even see another jeep. we ran from the powerline (forbidden zone) down the creek bed to the lower water falls and ran that. Then up and out by the oil well. From there took the trail up and over some good shale steps and up and over a killer wash out ditch. Hit the top of the hill and headed down to twister 2 and twister, did only twister. Twister 2 is just out of control. Eat lunch an then hit the parking area by the tracks. Headed up the gas line and got to the top and took the first trail to the right which drops you back into the creek bottom... Took the creek up stream did the rock garden drove thru the beaver dams above the rock garden and kept heading up stream. Found the new water fall area up hill trail that takes you from the creek bottom to the top by the power line trails. That is one bad ass water fall trail. We then did the power line hill and called it a day....... All that way and not other jeeps or for that fact no other 4x4... A couple quads, bikes & buggies.... but not many of those either. Pottsy
