Roctober Fest Oct 11-12 at the hammers
anyone ever been on this trip before? I was wondering how far from base camp the runs are and what kind of spare parts should be brought in the jeep and what can be left at base camp? Also is there any towns near by that we can get ice and stuff at?
Thanks, Kirk |

The runs start maybe a 1/4 mile from the lake bed (base camp). Spare parts? What will you break? Drive shaft, spare axles, u-joints, tie rod ends, hoses, belts, etc. I usually bring my stuff with me because I don't want to wait for the run to go by and then send somebody back for parts. Towns nearby are Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley, about 15 miles from the turn-off to the lake bed.

Actually it's "whatever"
![]() Everything breaks, build it better and stronger to the tune of $6,000,000 and it'll still break. Biring what's known to be weak and go out and play Quote:
