DIsney, OK!! November 6th and 7th.

O.K.

I am just feelin it out right now on dates but I am thinking to at least start around either November 6th, 7th and 8th or November 13th, 14th and 15th.

I wanna do it before it gets tooo cold out but wait long enough that its not gonna be 90* outside.

At first I was asked to put together a Yotathon type deal but I dont want to limit the type or kind of rigs. Just come out and wheel and have a blast.

How do these dates sound to everyone??

I know I cant please everyone on the dates but I gotta find a majority vote on it.

Aaron

Well, I just found out that Hogans Park is having his anual SWAP MEET on the 6-7th of November so I dont know if we should look at the 2nd weekend of November or the last weekend of October.

Any thoughts??

I've been during swap meets. Some times it's been crazy-crowded... Other times it was one trailer and 3 bald tires... Just really depends... I'd plan your trip based upon YOUR schedules and just go with the flow. Heck, you were there on Labor Day weekend (one of the most crowded weekends during the year) and everyone survived!

Oh and one other thought... There is Roctoberfest in Cass, AR on the last weekend of October. Not sure if anyone you're talking to is thinking about going to that, but if they are, they would have to choose between the two events if you pick the same weekend... Just food for thought.

Go ahead and rub your planned trip in my nose, go ahead, I hope it rains sleet/snow all weekend

Just Fawkin with ya, wish I could go too, really bad... Looks like a place we can do only two times a year so far, but ya'll have a great and safe trip down there and post some photo's for us to slobber over...

Tell us how the swap meet goes - good/bad???

Haaa!!

Hell, I wish I lived closer.

Hopefully I will post up some pics. My last few trips, I have gotten so into wheelin and not takin pics that I have nothing to show for my trips from my own camera anyway.

Also, I am not real patient. I always seem to be half way up the obstacle or at the top of it by the time somebody has a camera ready.

I've heard there is a good variety of trails at Disney... think it's a place I could go have some fun with my 85 Runner on 31" tires with a rear locker or are most of the trails too hardcore? I just moved to Sallisaw, OK and am still looking for places to wheel.

There's a lot to do at Disney for all levels of vehicles. There are 3 LARGE rock type of "play areas"... Obsticles on all levels for the choosing.

Woodland trails vary alot. There's plenty to do.. There have been times i was able to do them all in my TJ with open diffs on 31s... Other times I couldn't climb the hills locked on 35s. Just come on out and see!

Yeah come on out guys,

Cargun, There is definately a variety of things to do out there and you can have fun with damn near any type rig with any size tires, you just have to know your limits if you dont want lots of damage.

Trust me, I know about how sharp the unforgiving the rocks can be but I love Disney due to locality to Kansas and the choice of terrain.

You can wheel with us or whoever else you want, I know there will be several people in our group from different areas.

Go check out http://www.outdooradventuregroup.org/v2/ Go to the forums, they are a bunch mostly outta Oklahoma and they plan lots of other activities other than just wheelin. Great group of people and they are very friendly.

Well, it sounds like we are gonna have a descent number of people there.

We have set the date for sure for November 6th and 7th.

I have posted this on numerous boards and I have around 12 rigs so far that are saying they will be there and a couple undecideds.

Yep, Hogans offroad park. He is located directly at the top of the area where we all go wheelin. His camping is $7.00 per night for a tent spot and you get unlimited use of his tool shed and there are hot showers and toilets located right there in the park.

Get that rig done and come out.

Glad you didn't choose the second weekend, that's opening weekend of deer season here in MO and I have to work that weekend to boot. Hopefully I can make it, I'm going to order gears for the heep tomorrow and hopefully I can have them in my 60/44 and those under the Jeep by that weekend.

I see how you guys are, wait until I get my K5 tore into pieces for winter upgrades and then plan a trip to Diz . I gues I will have to wait until spring to try out the new and improved beast, got cross-over/hydro-assist, 465/doubler, front locker and TBI in the works . I hope it does not get too cold this winter, nothing having a shop sucks ass when it is 15* outside and you are trying to put in a tranny . Have fun and I will hook up with you guys in the spring, and I want pictures too

We'll see if we cant get a few pics.

I am taking the wife and kids on this trip so hopefully we can get a bunch-0-pics.

I am hoping to go again during Christmas break if its not toooooo cold.

Also, once spring rolls around I will be making numerous trips out as I have 4 seperate family members that wanna come out and ride along all weekend.

Well, come awn wit it.

We can never seem to keep our entire group together when its as many rigs as it sounds like might show up so I am sure you will run into someone if you are not there when we first take off.

That and we always end up back at camp several times throughout the day.
