What to do in Attica after Badlands?

Since the trails shut down at Five, whats there to do for entertainment in the evenings? Don't mind a short drve to another town if theres something going on but don't want to venture to far away. Going Easter weekend ( don't suggest Church ), anyone else going that weekend?

Do a bar crawl. There is a handful of bars...all within walking distance of each other. You'll be able to check out the local talent and maybe even a live band.

It's been years since I've been there, never went any place in town other than the Diner and a parts run. Bar with a Band sounds like a good start, I'll check it out.

Just might have to try the Chinese. We're heading out tonight, should be there around 9 am Friday. Unfortunately we'll be bringing rain with us.

on your next trip

Robies has killer food, try the tater balls and say hello to Barbie. Extremely friendly waitress and hot. Nice bar.

I know you not asking but the Crossroads for breakfast is very fast and good. The place always looks packed but it isn't.

our club has been there many times, IMO robies is probably the best overall food, resonably priced, and stumbling distance from all the rest of the bars. there is one biker bar in town, hotel attica and a couple other places in that old section of "downtown" i'm sure theres other places around town, but it's a pain to drag a friggin trailer all over town when ya have no idea where you're going lol theres the campground outside the badlands ( no alcohol) and theres summer ? campground back out towards 41/63 about 10 miles from the badlands stayed there a couple times several years ago ample parking for trailers ect. and seemed like nice people. hotel attica is right in town too rooms are resonably priced, but small, good prime rib/ filet on fri sat nite, and jeff ( the owner) will sit and drink with ya all nite long. and as an added plus he's got ample parking across the street from the hotel for your rigs. the parking lot there is large enough for 6 or 7 trucks and trailers.

i use to think that all of the venders in attica would be totally fed up with the "offroaders" but honestly, we are the lifeblood of that town!
i have only had one bad expierience with a citizen of attica and that was at the bp when we were trying to see out our windows

Ended up going to Robies, I remembered it when I saw it while crusing around town looking for somewhere to go. Good food, friendly folks. Hotel Attia looks like a spot I'll try next time, Prime Rib sounds good.
Side note: Got pulled over by the Local Police for not having tail lights (fuse blew for some reason). Second time I've been pulled over in Attica, which is rare for me, and for the second time I was given a friendly warning. Hats off to the local PD for being cordial and reasonable, good example for other LEO's IMHO.

Just send them an email to reserve a spot - it may take a couple days, but they will respond and give you a confirmation.
--

Careful though - they are still kind of jerks, just got back on Sunday night, stayed a couple nights and got yelled at by the guys a couple times for being to loud - so do not plan on partying too much!

Go to Layafette

I've been going to the Badlands since the late 90s and I've never felt welcome anywhere in that town outside of the Badlands park.

Whether it's the snotty high school girls at the Subway to the hillrods at Robie's that act like we're going to try and steal their women ...

Whenever we're looking for a good time away from the camp fire, we head over to Lafayette (college town).

cm "boooooo Attica locals" k
