Midwest Fab Shop w/ Mad Skillz????
Are there any REPUTABLE off-road shops in or around the central IL area? I’m looking for someone that has a LOT of experience in cage building and link suspensions. These days work has me short on free time so I’m considering subbing some work out. I’m looking for a full custom cage (not just a hoop and some spreaders) and also possibly a rework of the rear frame for coil-overs and a 4link. ONLY INTERESTED IN SOLID CLEAN WORK WITH CHARACTER.

i was under the impression that they did repair and bolt-ons
they have a welder but i didnt see a bender or anything last time i was in there... you could call and ask... they have built a couple really nice buggys in the past, but i always assumed they were done off site

i know a great guy in mokea, IL
he do lot of stuff but i dont know what he couldnt. great guy http://aedofab.com/ or go to http://www.diversifiedcreations.com/ my friend took his S-10 there for LOT of ego cage and flatbed work there, looks good and very stout! however that shop is located in michagin, but for exocage, its rather important to have it done right though so it could worth the drive.

Find yourself a race shop - probably have more luck with that then a 4x4 shop.

There's a race shop in Pekin, my brother had them do a cage, rear link suspension on his drag car. Did great work. It's worth a call since he's close to see if he does or has done 4x4 stuff:

You can check out D&R Racing in Morris... They have a REALLY nice facility, some really experienced fab'ers, and build alot of high dollar rigs. They do alot of mud racing stuff, but also do a ton of jeep work, suspension builds, performance diesels etc...
Give don a call @ (815) 941-4530 D&R Racing - He's done some work on my truck and I deal with them through my work quite a bit.... Definatly not half ass work. Even have a paint booth! |

I am currently in the works of opening a full-service off-road shop. As of right now, I am only doing it on the side and I am set up to do lifts, custom bumpers, performance enhancement, and general mechanical work. I have been working in the automotive repair industry for 11 years and have been customizing Jeeps for 6 years. My next endeavor is custom roll cages and I have a bender ordered and on the way. I will post some of my work when I get started. PM me for more info.
