off road races in the midwest

I'm hoping to have my truck in a conpeatable condition next spring. I know of a few local events fairs, bogs, gravelrama. I'd like to see who's racing where and what type of events we have around the area.

Mora looks pretty cool but the trucks seem pretty purpose built. Like circle track cars. Id be way more intrested in entering the TREC series at attica. My rigs more multipurpose. Trail rig / race truck more trail rig really. Are there any other racing circuts like this in the area?

trec is a pretty good series, i was gonna do it, but i just dont have the resources... in the events section here there are a few trec threads and maybe 6-10 racers are members here (that i know of)

we like to pre-run the corse as it is marked out in advance and during normal hrs you can play on it and learn the track

December 5th the badlands is having a toys for tots event and the last trec race of the year is that night... there is a thread (trec for tots) here in great lakes and quite a number of people will be there...

you should come out if you can, i know i will pre-run it a couple times though i am not racing... you can get a feel for the style of racing and talk to kyle (event founder) and some racers and see what all you need to get started

i know they are putting out a new rule book for next season, might get a line on one of those and adjust your rig acordingly

from what ive heard from the racers, Lighter=Better=faster=smoother
and invest in some good shocks

CMK on here has car #318 and he had some ok shocks and they got so hot the stickers melted off

and unless you are an eskimo, a fully enclosed rig will be an advantage this time i do believe, and LIGHTS

i am betting on it being pretty chilly
