lets plan some protests in mass form to clog traffic in capitols across the us due to closeure of our places to ride. check it out on the tellico forum it would be nice to ban together to do some protesting accross the u.s to try and save our orv parks from closure. more people more power. think of the statement a week of driving 2mph in the capitols of states in which you live in either your trail rigs or your tow rigs hauling your trail rigs. this is a way to get the media and more than just the local rangers closing the parks. big officials will want answers to why we are big there cities to there knees

I see where you are going with this but I'm not driving my truck past the capitol building. The cops would have a field day handing out tickets and my shit would get impounded probably.

its kind of hard in hawaii because the state is made up of islands. its a huge deal to get people from outer islands to the capitol with their rigs...

The guys with street legal rigs can drive and everyone else can walk inbetween the rigs. Or if you have a trailer, you could tow your ride really slow.
I think that right now would be a bad time for this kind of demonstration because we appear to be making headway with the local government. Anything to piss them off and we will be back at step one again. For us, a rally isn't needed locally yet. |

The Hawaii 4x4 Association is working for all islands, not just Oahu. They were there representing the wheeling community in Maui and is working on additional places on Oahu. If you know of any other places that have been closed "just because", or know of a sutible area for wheeling, then contact the H4x4A and they will do what they can if there is enough evidence. They are also in need of donations to support the legal battles that come with opening new lands for ORV's.

As far as I have heard, no. The director of DLNR was praising that find and the people involved for setting everything up. From what she was saying, it was going to be a great success. That may have changed under our noses but only time will tell. I could ask a few people that might know something. Ask on Oahu Jeepers or Bent frame 4x4 and someone may know that answer already.
