new trusses for the buggy....
so my buggy has been down for a little while, mostly due to me not being able to decide what to do with my motor (hydro locked), now i think im down to buying a new engine, hopefully a LS.....anyway, while its been down ive been working on a few things. just got the rear truss made up and tacked together, and did some fitting last night, i have a little trimming to do but it pretty much ready to be welded up....before i weld it on im going to weld the tubes to the diff. housing then weld on the truss and remount the upper links, sway bar and break lines......ill have more pics as it gets finished...hopefully soon, not wheeling is killing me.
rear truss: made from 1/2 & 3/8" steel plate and pipe. ![]() ![]() before: ![]() mounted, almost ready to weld on.... ![]()

Hmmm...not exactly a proponent of decreased unsprung mass, eh? Oh well, it'll hold up, and steel prices are pretty cheap now, just gotta love the massive truss/airshocks ...
