We are starting a rock crawling club "ISLAND CRAWLER UNION". It will be a Maui based club with the possibility of chapters on other islands, we are also on our way to becoming a nonprofit org. I think a maui club would be great. i also think that being a non-profit is a plus. I have a suggestion though.

Hawaii 4x4 Association (http://hawaii4x4association.org/
) is already a non-profit and has people in Oahu that go to the State legislature when there are things going on that affect us. The H4x4A also has several clubs associated with it, such as Oahu Jeepers and Damn Kid Off Road. I think that having Island Crawler Union be apart of this Association would be beneficial since we all share the same mentality and respect for the land as well as our 4x4 activities.

Hmmm, I can make a call today after work. Mike is usually the one that takes care of that stuff.

edit: I have kinda been the maui arm for the H4x4A but been busy too. I did make it to the beginning meetings here when they were talking about Wahikuli for an off road park. I was the only 4x4 guy there the rest were guys from Maui Motocross

MMA was all overthat meeting but I think we got the shaft. DLNR never got the proper stuff to get it done and we won't get anywhere with out the funding either. I still think its us whos gonna have to step up and do something cus they not.

yo, I just read the membership qualifications...sickness. I don't think I qualify yet!

edit: after I do my dual cases I will need...Fire extinguisher, rock lights, and a winch.
