possible move
I am possibly going to relocate to the notheren nevada region. I have a 86 burban with a carb'd BBC 468, a 69 vette that will have a carb'd BBC 540, a 95 YJ that has a BBC 468 that will most likely be on pane, and a 93 fullsize blazer with the 350 tbi. What if any smog laws are there or are not. Will these pass the DMV? thanks

Up until recently I had a nevada state smog lic. and even the 69 vette would need a smog!!!The suburban would almost be impossible and the yj wouldnt make it since that isnt a jeep engine in there. But on the bright side that blazer might get through......
the problem is everything 81 and newer is inspected to have the smog equipment in place(cat, egr, air inj,gas cap)....if its gone FAIL!!!It also has to pass the sniffer and for the yj,Blazer and the burb thats 220 PPM HC and 1.2% Co MAX!!!!The vette(i think)is 500 ppm HC and 4.0% CO.......

as long as you stay out of the washoe county area and clark county areas you'll be fine, you could essentially drive 30-40 min. east or south and not have to worry about it at all, carson/minden/gardnerville or fernley fallon siversprings etc...
