Nevada Laws?

We may be looking at moving to Nevada (possibly around Gardnerville)and was wondering what laws I may have to deal with concerning my vehicles.
any special laws like smog, height, tire coverage?
How about registration? anyone know if automotive registration fees are higher or lower than CA?
Thanks for the help

Gardnerville is where it's at. I've been here for years.

NV general pretty liberal when it comes to offroad rigs.

there is a high requirement. I think it's 27" to the lowest part of the original factory body. Other than that it's open. NHP has been crackin down on rigs in the area, but the local cops are usually pretty cool.

I have no idea what the registrations are in CA, but the last time I registered the 4runner I had, it cost me $45 for the year.

Thanks for the reply.
I have family that has been in the area since the late 60s and I have spent plenty of summers between the Rancho's and Tahoe.
Been wanting to move up there for a few years.
Was up there this last week and got the OK from the fiance to go ahead and look into the area a little more.

Just curious about registration fees because I bought a 2001 Dodge diesel a few months back for $9000.00
Registration fees came up this month and they want over $300.00 to register the truck. I thought it was a little high for a 3/4 ton.
Thanks

when i had my sammy inspected there was a max distance from the ground to the frame. but they seemed to imply it was different depending on the gross weight of the vehicle.

smog not required in gardenerville or carson city.

i see alot of rigs with no doors or fenders. is that legal or do cops just not enforce it?

Sounds high to me, But you can check it out here

https://dmvapp.state.nv.us/estimate.asp

One thing I have noticed is all the estimates I have gotten where all higher than the actual I paid in the DMV. My 99 F250 ran me $211 last year. Then I got my 06 2500 dodge and now I'm up in the high $300 range if I can remember right.
