Moonrocks-Hungry Valley Clean Up 4/19-20

The Friends Of Hungry Valley (i'm on the board) are holding their annual Hungry Valley clean up April 19-20. All are encouraged to attend. Several anti-motorized recreation factions are pushing to limit motorized access to Hungry Valley-- presently 44,000 acres of open play area. This includes Billy Bob, Twister and Moonrocks. Plus a lot more!

Base camp will be at '4 corners' or 'shooters corner' about 1 mile west of the Indian Colony. (BTW, the colony is one of the big anti-4x4 groups) There will be a BBQ and other attractions. Bring somethingto share I you want. Please go there first to check in, so that we can show to the media and anti-4x4 groups that yes, we really do care. We can then claim man hours for the effort.

There will be two large dumpsters at the 'tot lot' just west uphill from Moonrocks and two more dumpsters at the Chickadee access portal.

There will also be a military demonstration where they will be hauling out some wrecked cars by chopper.

Call out to any hams as well to help coordinate radio comm-links, base camp, med crews, etc.
