That's a fun park. I've been there a couple of times while visiting my brother in Topeka.

I will bump this whenever we have a group going down. Hope anyone else who is putting a trip together does the same.

EDIT:

I am told there is a group from the Wisner, Nebraska area heading down the last weekend of April, also. Might try to go with them as well.

I'm heading down the last weekend in April.

Where do you camp? I'm looking for a campground where you can have a fire and drink.

Any suggestions?

There is Fancy Creek Campground about three minutes from the entrance to the park.

After you pull in, an nice old guy will come drive by to collect the park fees. Fires and drinks are allowed.

Anyone get to check out the re-unveiling of my cousin's reworked X-chassis? Had to bust my ass to get that thing done in time! He would have been down there with a tube back-halfed Charcoal Xtra cab Yota...?

Planning to be there on the 24th.

If you're having problems with the TK forum go to www.trailkrawlers4x4.org. Delete anything else that's in your cache or favorites.

Worst part is getting people to park OFF the damn trails.

Well, no, the WORST part is getting the ATVers to pick up their damn beer bottles/cans.

After THAT, it's the trail tampons.

Headed down Saturday morning. I'll probably leave Omaha around 6:45, stop in Lincoln to pick up a couple rigs and hit the park around 10:00-ish.

Dave, it's not just the ATV-ers.

Had an all-around enjoyable day. Took it fairly easy, made sure not to break any junk.

Nice day, great temperature, a little wet (keeps the dust down).

I let my oldest daughter run up and down the bunny hills a couple times. And she only drove straight into my trailer ONCE!

Anthony is nuttier than squirrel turds.

And he's not alone.

Always an enjoyable time.

Then I had the oldest boy go up and down some of the middle-ish stair steps. Which take a little more thinking when they are a hair muddy.
