Western Montana
My family and I are planning on playing in Montana this summer near my sister-in-laws place.
Where are the best places to wheel ATV/UTV and 4X4's in the Flathead Lake/Kalispell/Missoula areas? |

If your staying in Polson it's a nice little town and there looks like there are trails all over up there. We rented a condo for a week last year and mostly went fishing but were thinkin about goin back up with the trucks next spring or fall.

The Blacktail/Wild Bill trails are about 30 minutes north of Polson.

Does the Blacktail/Wild Bill trails system require any special permits? Am I going to get in trouble if I bring my WA State licensed toys/rigs to play there? |

![]() You do need to have a licensed/registered rig. You can get an FS ticket if you are not licensed/registered somewhere.

All our toys have WA State license plates or WA State ORV tags so it sounds like we are good to go. I will call the Ronan Power Products place for more details. Thanks again! Last edited by 4WheelingPlus; 06-02-2010 at 04:17 PM. |

I got my reservation off highway permit at Wal-Mart there in Polson just fyi. They will charge you a bit more being a non-resident. And I believe dont quote me on this, but I think they're about 30 bucks if I recall correctly.
