NJ Pine Barrens Clean Up Oct 25

Sunday October 25 9:30am Atsion Ranger station.

Each year over 100 vehicles show up and are divided into groups with their own designated areas to go clean up. I've been to the last 2 and each time a 30 yard dumpster gets overflowed with garbage that volunteers have brought back out of the woods. Afterwards the Pic a lilly (a local resturant) gives out wings for whoever wants to head up there and a kind of an afterparty/meet up goes on.

Atsion Ranger Station ( US 206 and Atsion Rd. Shamong Twp, Burlington Co, NJ )

you'd be kind of limited to where you could go but trailers do come in handy.

I've missed this the past two years due to simply not knowing about it. Is there a date set for 2010 or a website for this? I went once, had a good time, pulled a crapload of trash out of the woods, and even won a set of lights at pic-a-lilly. Don't want to miss it next year.

There isn't a website. When the time gets closer I'll be putting up threads on my usual forum spots again.

I've been back there a few times but most of the time it's dark... even when it's dark you sometimes come up to trash thrown around.

A friend lives up in Tabernacle, we'll probably be out to the next one.
