Hey everyone, were y'all getting your DOM from?

I have never bought DOM in bulk and am looking for a relatively reasonable priced supplier.

I need 300ft of 1.75x.120...Probably in 15-20ft sticks or whatever is easiest.

Soo, where are you buying from? How much? Do they freight? How far from Boston, MA?

Sullivan steel in Holyoke is more of a bulk supplier, only 12' or 24'. They supply most of the little guys in the area. They have a place in Worcester too but Ive never been.

Sullivan doesn't sell DOM. Marmon/Keystone does sell DOM for pretty good prices. They are in Southhampton, Ma about 2-2 1/2 hours west of Boston.

if your in boston id look at standard tubing, i think they are in marlboro..the deliver our boiler tubes here in ny

What are you guys paying from DOM? I just got quoted $10/ft for 2"x0.250 wall, seemed real steep to me but I've never actually bought any toob before.

Thats not a bad price, I know its not the same (because of the smaller amounts most likely purchased from some place such as ballistic) but compare it too buying tube per foot from ballistic which is $16 a foot. I know my local supplier, Mid City Steel in bozrah CT, qouted me 8.50 a foot for 1.75" .120 wall for 200 feet.

Wow. I was worried because I had a friend buy from the same supplier through his work and the prices were so far different. I got quoted 5.75/ft for that same 1.75" 0.120 wall and he got it for 3.10/ft. I figured I would have to pay more since its not through a company like he did, but I still thought it was a lot. Oh well, looks like I'll be going through Cohen anyway since I never heard back from Yarde.

shoot here they want 12$ a foot for 1.75x.120 wall dom they want 240$ for 20' this is so not right it cant be what is this nation coming to?

You could try Mill Metals in Manchester NH. I go there all the time. Prices are reasonable. 603 626 7351
