It really depends on what I need. And is price more important than convience. I get most of my steel free. But its all someone else's scrap. So if I need something small that isn't in the scrap pile I either wait for what I need, go to a steel yard and have them glare at me for needing a small piece of scrap and ignore me for thirty min. Or I go to tractor supply And pay a horrible price for a small piece o steel but no hassel at the counter.

Out of the three I usually choose tractorsupply. Because of convience. I also can get my consumables, random tools, a toy for the kid to shut em up, my dog food....

Del passo scuk over priced and there dicks... I use c&c steel in rancho. Also they sell all sorts of scrap. I go in all the time just to see what in the scrap piles Ive have gotten 5 ft stick of dom for 10 buck before. But over all there cheaper then delpaso.....

X2 on C&C. They have good prices and a large supply of scrap. Very helpful also, they let you go back and look before you buy.

Fixed it for you, I can beat their prices all day on the regular stuff. i.e. 1 3/4, 2" .120 wall and .250 wall in stock and will need to order other sizes

del paso pipe and steel, S and K steel, ABC supply. Del paso will only sell you full lengths. you could always check our shop if you need some small scrap pieces. Halm Metal Fab, right next to del paso pipe and steel on vinci ave

Del paso pipe and steel is a pretty good shop if your going to buy full lengths or they have what your looking for in there scrap bin.

S&K steel dont care what your buying big small or just looking they are pretty nice and have never given me any grief for any of my projects i have.

I dont know about steve he can be a dick sometimes lol .

I just bought quite a bit of rectangular tubing down at s&k last week. They didn't even complain when I told them I needed every piece cut at different angles. Price seemed pretty reasonable

+1 for S&K steel. very nice guys and great prices. They will let you walk around and pick up scrap pieces out of thier bins and yard. I picked up a piece of 4'x5'x3/4" scrap piece for $60.
