New rock course& obstacle.
Hollister Hills has a few new items in the roster. A rock, concrete/obstacle/course? It's being built off McCray Rd.
![]() In addition to the mods off McCray. The guys demo'd the worthless dirt mounds in the middle of the old obstacle and replaced it with this. ![]() ![]()

Yep. A good man by the name of James hooked us all up with the new stuff, has a sweet buggy and built it to be a challenge. People are listening to what the more hardcore group has to say but they are also watching. so be be extra careful with spills and trash. Lead by example. But most of all have fun, the new obstacle coarse is a beast WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS!

Had fun in the new section today but to go through it from end to end is way beyond my rides capabilities. Awesome that hollister hills and volunteers is stepping up and providing a challenge for buggies and more advanced drivers.
Is it true that macoy rd. section will not be completed for some time due to not being able to get concrete up there?

They have a decent amount of concrete poured as of last weekend. That course looks pretty nasty. Should be fun puttin the hurt on my toyota through it!

Update on this.
James and team showed off the new course at McCray Rd. after our trash pick up time on Make a Difference day. It was a privilege to get a "sneak peek" Wow! It was the coolest thing I've seen at a state park. I'm very impressed with what Hollister created and very happy to see how Hollister chose to deal with the erosion problem on McCray Rd. The whole course is designed to drain water and help with erosion while giving us wheelin' folk an awesome place to play. They opened it up for people to demo and play. It made for great spectating. It is very well designed and has winching points and exits every few hundred feet so that it doesn't get clogged up with carnage. Grand opening is Nov.17th. It should be a day not to be missed. Lots of folks will be out there trying there hand on the new course. Should be great wheeling for hours on end. And great spectating. See ay all there Nov. 17th -CJ

Yep. Was out there with my buddy in the big blue 4runner. It got even crazier after the concrete. There's a challenge for every wheel base/height/width rig. Somewhere will give you trouble lol. Nov 17th should be one hell of a show!

Went out and had a great time. Really good to see all the help that showed up for the clean up.
Pics and videos here of the new obstacle course. https://picasaweb.google.com/1173142...erHills102712# The "Infamous" rig is the only one we saw that made it all the way without pulling a line or getting a tug. I think the Burgundy rig could have made it too but he ended up overheating.
