Power Steering Box Rebuild

Anybody in Norcal want to rebuild a Scout II power steering box for me? Will pay reasonable labor cost and for parts. Box was tapped for hydro-assist by PSC. I bought the box used but it never worked. Give me a quote, I'm in Sac.

When you say it never worked, do you mean it won't turn or it leaks like a sieve or no power?

I'm going to rebuild my box tonight. I pick up a seal kit and a watch a you tube video, plus have the service manual.

I would think its going to cost 2 12 packs of some decent beer, plus parts.

Depends on if the insides are FUBAR or not. I don't know all the makes and models of donor boxes that parts can be swapped from. But this is a common box from the 70's So I'm sure spares could be had a PickNpull.

The power is controlled by the piston and the little balls.

Well...........

I have not got it back together as I need to order more parts.

To make Hollister, I just ran my spare box as is.

Will need to open your box and inspect the insides. If damaged then we know what the issue is. From there need to shop around at PnP. to find some donor parts boxes.

I've got a spare box, only thing is its got the smaller input. The PSC box is got the bigger input, plus my steering joint is for the bigger input. The splines on the output shaft of the PSC box are twisted, and I can see hairline cracks, may need to find one of those. Doesn't a Ford Sagnaw box use the same output shaft?
