Snake Lake info.
Is Snake Lake doable this time of year. Anybody know the elevation or where I can find info. about this trail. Thanks

Found some info on Snake Lake here:
Snake Lake Info Didn't see anything about elevation at Gold Lake or Snake Lake. It has been a long time since I've been to Gold Lake, I think it was July 4th weekend in '98. The trails were still snow bound that year.

No way. Impassable until Late May with light snow, june with heavy. I grew up in Sierra City.
I was just up that way around the 15th of Jan...the gates were closed to Gold Lake.
