United Rentals has a variety of Trailers. I work for em. We used a tilt trailer to haul my buddies '82 Shortbed around, it was perfect size measuring in at 6'x12'. However, you may want to get a car trailer which have dual axles and are like 7'x16'. They all have surge brakes, so even if your truck isnt wired for trailer brakes, your safe if you have to come to a sudden stop.
You will need a 3/4 ton with a class 3 to tow it out of the yard, and they dont care what you put on them. They are rated up to 9900lbs. They also have chains and binders they'll lend (or rent if the people at the counter are pricks). Prices are usually $45ish a day. Get the Rental Protection Plan! To find locations near you goto www.UR.com. They are all over the place. I used to work for U-haul before UR, and u-hauls trailers are shit. I wouldnt trust my $40,000 wheelin rig on their crap.
