I want to take my kids to play in the snow( 4 and 1.5) but do not want to drive forever, or to go to a place that sucks ass. Is there something reasonably close by?

Also, looking for the hookup on some used snow gear for my girls.

It's been snowing here in Pollock for a couple of hrs now. We have 3-4" already

. Iron mt is a good place, at least it will be when the storm passes.

theres a house on Norman st. thats got a nice steep driveway..

for a quick 1/2 day trip we usually take our kids to Iron Mnt rd..
Check craigslist for cloths... if you find something in sac area i can pick it up for you..

Don't think so, gate is closed at Silver Fork for the winter. The stretch from SF to 88 is for snowmobiles only.

Dont forget about the road closures up there... no snow wheeling unless its a paved road since there isnt chit for "gravel" roads
