went out towards Valsetz Sunday morning , snow was not to bad , had to turn back early for a 4H meeting , so I picked up my step daughter after school and went back up , snow is a lot better , didnt make it as far , to risky going solo , decided it was time to turn back after almost sliding into the ditch , saw a few guys headed up on our way down , probably going back up this weekend

Went out the other night on some FS roads on mtn loop highway and did great. broke in the new yota in 2-3ft of fresh snow. Decided to go the next day with some friends, friends bailed and i kept going. slid into a ditch at the top of the mtn and dismounted my front pass tire. couldnt get it out and luckily, the only other guy that was up there gave me a ride in his truck bed for 30 or so miles. Froze my ass off! went out yesterday to try to get it back but there was over a foot of fresh snow, and none of my buddies rigs are lifted or built enough to even get up the start of the trail. will post pics when i get it back as my camera is in the truck, and got some videos of it too. but if anybody with a pretty built rig and a chainsaw wants to go on a nice deep snow wheeling trip near granite falls and give me a ride to the top, hit me up. It would be greatly appreciated!

Have you got it out yet? If not PM me your number and let me know. If I am able to help I will. How far up MTn loop were you? I am not worried about getting up there on the roads, just worried about the cops.

Thanks for getting that tire all sorted out on the toyota, I went up last sunday and helped the kid get it back out. Sure made our day easier. And also thanks for clearing out most of the trees as well. We got the lowest of the 3 trees cleared out too so the kids toyota could make it out.

Heading out to Lonesome Lake near Naches this Saturday if anyone is interested. Got lots of "maybe's" and two firm yes's.
So who's up for a snow run? Might be about the last of the season if this warm weather continues ![]() Edit: So far 5 to 6 rigs are going. Meeting at Enumclaw Safeway (Hwy 410) at 8:30 amd and heading out at 9 am. Last edited by srgould41; 02-09-2012 at 07:58 AM. |
