Annual Events/Off Road Parks-Post Them.

I was searching around the NW forums, & there's really not any threads that basically have most of the "annual" events named in them.

I found one thread asking the same thing basically, but it only had 3 replies.

Let's get this thread going for all the wheelers in the area, from low buck to the big challenges.

To start, I'll add the only two I actually know of specifically enough to post.

Big Al's Mud Race - The address is 6361 W Seltice Way, Stateline ID 83854

Big Al's has several yearly races, late August is the race I know of, hopefully others can chime in with the other race dates.

Moyie Springs Mud Bog - I don't have a direct address for this event, however if you can find Bonners Ferry, Idaho, you can find Moyie. There's signs all over town & it's fairly simple to find really. 3 day event, 20.00 entry fee, huge camp ground ect.

Spring Moyie is mother's day weekend.

I know of quite a few more but not sure of the locations & details, so I'll let others post them!

Post Annual events, races, bogs, off road parks, ect. Address would be really helpful, as well as a date for the event if possible.

Let's see if we can get the thread going with tons of events for reference & planning. Ya know, time off work, driving distance, yada yada!

-Jacob

North Idaho Trail Blazers "Cabin Fever Run" in Pinehurst, Idaho. Usually held in April, depending on snow levels.

http://www.nitrailblazers.org/cf-hist.htm

The Hangover Run every Jan 1st at 7mile.

There's also the Mountain Explorer's March Play Day at 7 Mile, usually held the second weekend in March (so I've always called it the St. Paddy's Day run).

Oh, the INW Adventures group does a Naches run every year, this past year it was held at the end of July.

I'm not a big into "mudding" anymore, so I don't go to Big Al's too often, but I usually show up at Moyie to see old friends that I maybe see once a year.

Keep them coming. I don't want to really "steal" the info from our local club ( 30+ events ) & feel like an ass, I'll ask him & see what he says.

Just trying to get everyone more places to wheel & have fun, as well as a good thread for people new to the area, ect.

Idaho Tuff Truck Challenge. Usually in late September. Located in Mountain Home, Idaho. 3 different tire size classes. Attracts competitors from Utah, Nevada, Idaho and California. Put on by Wild West Offroaders.

What Club? I don't see it as "stealing" info from a club. It's called "Spreading the word" and possibly opening your doors to new members if they want to join.

Most of us here are part of or associated one or another "club" (official and unofficial) and we overlap into multiple "clubs".

Anyone have something to add this??

I had high hopes this thread would have several pages of events & collect lots of events, parks, and camping/wheeling areas in one thread.

Rabbit, I assume you're part of the Mudallica & mountainexplorers group? Can you see if they wouldn't mind contributing to this thread? I know the Mudallica site has pretty much went Inactive.

Has anyone heard anything about the Yacolt Burn trails? A possible opening? I live a mile or two from the area and I would like to help out with whatever I can. I've heard through the grapevine that the trails are accessable but not technically "open".... I don't want to be one of the Jack@$$'s that goes out and screws it up for everyone else. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the Piston's Wild Motorsports Club...they are very active in the process. Last I heard they were very close, but the trails were NOT open.

Definitely will be making it out for some of the Best in the West events. I had no idea Straddleline was so close to Portland.

I have never been, but maybe it will be held at the Jackson County Sports Park:

http://www.co.jackson.or.us/Page.asp?NavID=3543

Trail Tough is local & has some pics on their website:

http://www.trailtough.com/index.php?...hbul&Itemid=58

Might call them for local details on the park.
