I'm pretty sure I know where he is talking about. I *think* its a big place that has an R/C race track but is opening up for real trucks. I could be wrong. Probably am.

If I was to guess on the cost of entry, I would say the land owner wants to make a few bucks for opening up his worthless hillside or unfarmable swamp.

I cant figure this one out. You must pre register but the registration is held on site?Do I need to go there to pre register then?

When I was there during Traces Charity mudbog on 11-03. Farm was big enough for an RC track out there, but didn't notice it. They had the mud drag races, tank trap, open play area and an RTI ramp.

If it was for charity, I'd probably go again.. but not for just making someone a few bucks. Not to mention I'm 160 miles away. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the farthest person away to attend. I vote for anyone over 100 miles away is $20. lol..

Good point on the registration..? Hopefully they'll chime in a add some details on how to..

I'm waiting on an address for the mudbog event on Jan 19th over in Junction City. Was told it's being developed now..

This is a different piece of property from Trace's Charity MudBog.

The fee charged is for site preperation, portable toilets, fencing.......ect. This is not a charity event. This event is for those who want to challenge their trucks, play, get dirty, and race.

This is not a club sponsered event.

Pre -registration is held on site, but not on the day of the event, the event is March 29,...........the preregristration will be held on the property on Sunday, Feburary 17th & Saturday, Feburary 23 from 9am- 3pm. You call me, Shann, at 503-840-5641.

Is this the first event on these grounds? If not I would be very interested in some pics or some video of past events. Sounds like fun

this is a first event here on this property,....if you went out to the Charity Mud Bog in Canby on Cramer Rd, last Nov. that also was a first event.

I am the one who designed the bog in Canby on Cramer and was approach by the owner of the property on Needy who asked us to put on an event there.
we had a pretty good turn out w/ 130 trucks and about 580 spectators. And all we had was 3wks to prep the property and promote it.

I must say that I know how hard it is to get this kind of event off the ground. to be able to provide a complete days event with all of this stuff at the low price of 30 bucks a truck, and 2 bucks a spectator is a HELL of a GOOD deal. If you race at my races, you get two runs, guaranteed, but you might have to wait ALL DAY for them, and you pay 25 bucks to wait. and you get to pay 5 bucks for each spectator.

dont knock his prices, unless you are willing to step up and promote your own race. insurance alone costs the promoter in excess of 750 bucks IF they can get really really lucky and find coverage at all.

my insurance for a racing event is 3000 bucks for one year. I can have as many races as I want, but any additional rider is 100 bucks... and I never hold more than 2 events per year.

so, think about what you are complaining about when you think his prices are too high. If you think hes making money, think again. most of the time, he pays out more than he could take in. What would you have to do if he chose NOT to put this event on?

my $2.75 worth of advice.

I was at the charity event and for a first time attempt at an event they pulled it off pretty good. If this one is managed and controlled like the last one everyone will have fun. Controlling the flow of the event and keeping it from being total caos is key.
As for making money I can't see how any money would be made unless they used the set up multiple times. The set up would have to be done for way cheap as well. Hauling in an excavator and rocks is big $$.

If a person just wanted to come out and play for the event and not race, is driver pre-registration still required?

Today we had an awesome meeting w/ the Sutherlin <black berry festival>, Willamina, and Barnyard Crew <or boys>......

If any of you keep up on other sites you can view "lets get organized" under http://nwmudrace.proboards42.com/index.cgi

we were invited to attend to help the top drag race events to come to an agreement on Tech Spec Sheets. Their were many changes. As an out come, we will be holding the Drag Race events under these new specs to see how they turn out. If things go well, the NW Pacific will hopefully become unified under these Specs.....but changes still might be made.
Classes are : 4 Cyl / 6 Cyl / Modified / Super Modified / OPEN.......<i may have left out a class>

Some from Sutherlin, Willamina and Barnyard will be there. We will take 15 volunteers that will let us test the New Tech Sheet. We are doing this to make sure that the changes we have made to the Tech Sheet will help make the classes fair. There is no prize! monitory nor trophy. This is just a test on these new specs. If all goes well,....Lazy M Farms may hold a Drag Race event.

IFY : the drag strips are not bog strips. they are 150' long w/ 400' of shut down.

Any Question call us 503-840-5641

Due to the amount of ppl still wanting tickets we will offer tickets through paypal. However, this will be through emails sent to us and we will send an invoice to you. Reason being, we have to keep track of how many tickets we are sending out, there are a limited amount left. so there will be no link for paypal. If you would like to still purchase a ticket<s> email mail us, with subject line : mud-o-rama. email : evilempress75@aol.com

thank you to those who did pre-pay at registration days. You made it possible for part of the road to be gravled and part of equipment to be payed for.
