Local truck Down and Out for a while

Matty, with the Blazabbit, rolled his truck on the way from the property to a parade in town about 1/2 mile away. He was on his way to enter it in the parade. 5 Adults and 3 children were ejected from the truck (truck only has seat belts inside the cage). They were only going about 10 miles an hour down the road.

Over time the u-joint bolt worked it's way out, and the steering linkage seperated. When he hit the breaks once the steering wheel started freewheeling, it slid off the road. Everyone has been released from the hospital, with Matty having the worst injuries with a seperated shoulder. The lord above was definately watching over them this weekend.

No citations were issued by either county mounties or the state bull. Not one for driving an illegal off road only vehilce on a public road, not one for no seatbelts being worn. All LEO's agreed that it was all legal due to it being in the parade. Matty said he would have gladly paid all the fines knowing everybody walked away.

20-25 feet down the embankment

Back at the property

U-Joint slipped apart

Well that sucks! But glad they were all OK. I wheeled with him at a seven mile run and Cabin Fever this year.

Yeah, it's a VW Caddy on a Blazer frame. Thus the name "Blazabbit".

So0unds like he is gonna rebuild it, even straighten out the frame. He doesn't accept that it's totalled.

AS far as I know, Matty never had it for sale. He built it himself. The frame is slightly bent now, and he wants to straighten it and box it rather than get a new blazer frame, because this has sentimntal value to him from it being his old Blazer.
