Off Road Rally to save Twin Sisters and Colville Forest
Colville National Forest is trying to pull a fast one on all off roaders by stopping their Travel Plan and trying to implement all areas as wilderness before they restart the Travel Plan. This will include all five trails designated 4x4 including the most well known Twin Sisters.
If this goes through then these areas will not even be up for consideration during the Travel Plan. We are having a show of force on the last meeting date to protest any closures of off road trails in the area. There is already to much wilderness area. Here is the information on what they are trying to do. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/wenatchee/fo...ille-81008.pdf Here is the date for the rally. Please bring all the people from all forms of off roading and a show of off road vehicles. Central Integration Meeting NEW DATE and LOCATION - Saturday, November 22, 2008, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Stevens County Sheriff’s Ambulance Training Center 425 N. Highway 395, Colville, WA Agenda (available soon)-- Location Map For more information and to e-mail comments go to the bottom of this page. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/wenatchee/fo...lle-2008.shtml Last edited by Eagle-Mark; 10-20-2008 at 08:14 AM. |

One more week and we need lots of off roaders to show up. Very important to be on your best behaviour. We are not looking to fight and ruin a meeting, only show that there is a huge user group that they have tryed to avoid.
They have changed the meeting time to start at 8:30 am but left the website say 9:00 am Less input from off roaders makes it easier for them to make this a wilderness area. It is imperative we go the distance and show the users are there. Had they ever had a meeting near Spokane they would know this. But all the workshops have avoided heavily populated areas. This will be number one reason the attorneys will use to put a stop to this and save our trails if they dare close any more trails or ORV areas around here. We are setting up this legal fund as last resort. More information on how to contribute in the coming months. |

Looks like the forrest service has removed their comment forms? Why I don't know but here is one you can take some time to fill out for the Rally
