trout fishing ?
where can I go that is some what close to Salem ? I know Salmon and Steele head are where it's at , but I don't have the gear for it , and the amount of fishing I do , it would be waste of money right know

go up tumble creek. it feeds into detroit lake, between mongold and the camp ground. you also could go up french creek, just befor you go over the bridge into detroit. in both places, the further up you go the better, everyone fishes where its close to the main roads. also, use worms, they wont bite on that fancy crap once you get up there aways.

What kind of trout do you want to catch?
My buddies are into some big ass trout... http://www.trophytrouthunter.com/ They hit the mountain lakes all east of Salem. They tried to get me into, but I have a Scout that sucks all my time and money....
