I was there, and it was hot as hell. The group was pretty big so we broke off and did our own thing. I think the UA Ford truck Rick Pewe was driving ended up breaking not too far into the first trail.

i have followed the progress on that truck best i can and they did a lot of R&D for that front end. i am glad daisy is getting traffic though. we were one of the early groups to run that place at the first spring break run and the reeks were flooded to high heaven and the trail needed traffic. didnt get to see much of the place because of a broken 60 shaft on a waterfall

Yeah I have ran it many times as well and was one of the first ones to run the major creek all the way to the pool with the spring at the end. That place has a lot of potential. Charlie has started working on putting in camper pads. The only thing hurting him is that there is not any lodging that is close other than Antlers, Atoka or Clayton.

the camping is plenty for the wheelers. hell, most run all night long anyway. ice and supplies are going to need to be sold near by though. a long trip to the convenience store is not what most are after when they need stuff. If the camping area can be roughly the size of the landing strip, I think all will be well.

If you come in on that highway through Daisy, it isn't that far off of the road, I know that the gravel road wasn't very friendly to pull a trailer down 2 years ago, but that is just part of it! You could spend a day there, it has good stuff cut and more with potential!

i think the gravel road is about a mile wst of the highway. i remember exactly where it is but i dont remember the name. there is another dir road you turn rght on and go across the highway then turn left into the long driveway to the parking site. I wish i could give you names but i do no remember. there is probably directions in he spring break run thread from two years ago if you can find it. be prepared for 3 miles of dirt roa and that shit is nasty when it rains

I went on Ultimate Adventure this year. The trails in Buck Creek are awesome. I just wish they were closer to home.
The uaf150 didnt actually break on the the trail. The limit straps in the front just stretched out far enough for the axle shaft to come out of the bell. They were able to get it back together on the trail but its sort of a puzzle doing so. It is a bummer that we didnt have more time to wheel out there. It looks like there ar tons of difficult trails to wheel. Taking 22 trucks through any trail seems to take more time than anticipated. David Chappelle |

Does anyone know if you can wheel during the week (friday say?)
And does it close to wheelers during the month of Nov for hunting? Looking to make a Friday some time early in Nov. out of Buck Creek. See what it's all about.

Blase it's Highclass. Talked to Joe Eaves yesterday and told him we have a group coming down this Thursday. Every time I have been there it has been on Friday so I don't think there is any problem with wheeling thru the week. I would let them know just to make sure. As for the hunting season we did the prerun for UA last year the day before muzzle loading season and the only thing they have ever told me is if hunting season is open you have to stay on the backside of the mountain.

I was on UA2011 with David this year. I believe the trail we ran at Buck Creek was called "Just say no Joe". That was a great trail! Took all day to get the 22 rigs through there. I pulled the valve stem out of my front right wheel on that trail and I changed the wheel just before the picture was taken of my FJ60 in this months Peterson's 4 Wheel and Offroad mag. That picture is bugging me because I think I could have made it without pulling cable but after changing a wheel in the 107 deg temperature I was just a bit low on energy. It was extremely hot for a guy from Colorado.
