First Annual Gorilla Run @ Superlift in Hot Springs AR

First Annual Gorilla Run

This WILL be a Spectator friendly event Spectators just 5.00 for spectators

If you're planning to COMPETE please send a picture of your rig, name and location as well as specs and class running to Arkansascrawlers@gmail.com. I will post link here to the list of competitors so you all can see who is coming to take the
MONEY

Link to the Competitors - http://www.arkansascrawlers.com/main...ad.php?t=15416

I wanted to give everyone a Heads-up on the Parking arrangements that have been made. There will Be NO room for your trailers to stay on site (with the exception of ones with Lodging attached), Magic Springs Amusement Park (2 miles up the road) is allowing all trailers to be parked in their parking lot. Event Staff will be at that parking lot for the WHOLE weekend. Please secure all loose items on your trailers, the Staff is going to monitor and protect your trailer but make it easy on them. There should be a marked "unloading and loading zone" @ the Superlift Park. All this is being done in an effort to maximize parking for tow rigs as well as Offroading Rigs. Thanks in advance for your Help and look forward to seeing you all

Is this an Ultra 4 or ECORS style Rock Race? Rock Crawling comp? What's the comp?

It's a rock race style event. Up gregs rocks down and up again the fastest.

I'm sponsoring the event and from what I've been told we should have well over 200 rigs here. Along with Crawl mag, busted knuckle films, Extreme4x4, and possibly more. There will be a live band along with one hell of a party afterward too.

This will be the east coast run of the year.

Are you looking for more inspection rules or rules for winning the race?

Maximum time limit for both classes
Fastest to the top wins (fastest of 2 times combined)

In case of tie there will be a tie breaker run (1 winner takes all)
Trails will be marked with red tape…If half of rig crosses red tape or brakes red tape this will result in a DQ w/maximum time added

I'm wondering why 40" was chosen. That seems a little big for the class division. Thinkin' 35s or maybe even 37s would've been a better break of classes.

Lookin' forward to the chaos

Yea 40" tires do seem pretty steep to me as well. Most comps the break over size are 38s.. Would be cool if it was a little lower but it seems pretty set in stone. I'll be there no matter what.
