Tell me about coppermines ORV park - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I may just suck at the sirchin skillz but I could not find a thread about it. Relatively new to Oklahoma wheeling and looking for a place to go. I couldn't find a website for them either. Have been a recreational wheeler all my life but still consider myself a rookie. Will this park be a good place
for me? I don't want to piss off a bunch of "pro" wheelers. Just want to take the family down and enjoy myself for a couple days.

What part of Oklahoma are you residing? what rig are you running?

I would consider any one on this forum to be amateur!

You could hit Coppermines and Buzzard Canyon both in the same weekend and could be a great little family outing. Both places have something for pretty much all skill levels.

Well I have two options. I have a solid axle 4runner on 38's with all the recovery gear radios blah blah blah with a nice low crawl ratio, and a "mall crawler" YJ with nothing but a small lift and 33's. It was my dads before he passed away and I just take it out here and there. I am really looking for a place to trail ride "nature" with kids and wife.

Coppermines is a fun place. If you want to check it out when the big boys are out playing, there is a Dirt Riot race on March 9 - 10.

They do have a trail class race for people just looking to have a little competitive fun too.

we have a facebook page under coppermines off road park , with a few pics and vids , any time you wana come down bring a group or the family give me a ring at 580-471-9181 we are located 11miles south of altus oklahoma and 10 miles west .
