Google maps alden, ks. Pioneer street is the main paved road in town running north and south. You head south out of alden around 2 sets of curves and then cross the river bridge. Just on the other side is the parking area. If you take 96hwy it will run through south hutch and then through nickerson and sterling. 3mi north of sterling is the alden turnoff and is 5mi west.
for lunch and such a lot of us are bringing hot dogs and burgers. The closest places to grab a bite to eat are in sterling where there's a subway, gambinos pizza, and a few cafes or lyons where there's mexican food, pizza hut, subway, dq, and a sonic

From Kingman I got 4 trucks for sure and 2-4 that are still a maybe. So 8 people for sure and most likely more.
I want to leave here before 8am, Im taking dirt roads all the way. Everyone else is convoying around 8am. So we should be up there before 10 if everything goes right.

![]() 406YJ if you want theres room to park your trailer at the bridge it sounds like. all the great bend crew and a few others took up space at my brothers house in town, but theres more room in town if you'd rather park there and drive with the rest of us out there. rivers about 2 miles away from town

I like taking dirt roads. But I think everyone else from Kingman is either going up 14 or taking Penalosa blacktop from 54, Penelosa blacktop is the same road as on the Alden Bridge so its easy. I dont know the actual road name for Penalosa Blacktop but its the first Blacktop that you can go North on from 14 going west.
Edit: Penalosa Blacktop is 110 NW Ave. Takes you all the way there easier than K14 but not as smooth and speedlimit is 55 instead of 65.

penalosa turns into langdon rd once you hit reno county. if people are parking trailers in alden it would be easier to take k14 to alden blacktop

That's great Levi!
I love no pressure wheeling. It is what got all of us hooked. I want to thank the locals for your effort making this happen. Kansas needs more outings! The TWF car and an old 4 wheeler is loaded up and ready to go.

Awesome! Course is set up and is fast. 3min 18sec in chris' cj. Only did one test lap. There are 2 water crossings in the course but not deep. Water level has dropped more but still a few spots that are soft we can set up a cone or something for ya guys to keep your hubs and such dry. Can't wait to meet ya guys. There's already about 20 guys out there tonight

If you guys want to use my trailer (has a 20' platform on top) for the drivers meeting to stand above people and talk over them you are more than welcome. John Sumners crew used it for the Big Meats Run.

I would like to give a King sized thanks to everyone there. What a great group of people!
True to my normal habit we had a day ending happening. With a broken belt, then a broken backup belt, until I realized where the belt was making contact with the ram bolts. With the help of you guys a parts store run and pushing the front axle forward with the control arms allowed us to fix it for a 3rd and final time. Mike and i must have said 15x how good of a time it was. Next year a 2 day stay will be in order for us. When we were pulling out both Brian and Levi Shirley's Co drivers showed up. And a full sized van had a DJ system cranking away. It looked like a great night in the making. Huge thanks to the guy on the side x side who helped us find it ![]() Sure hope everyone is safe and thanks again for your support! Todd

I was thinking about coming down for this, but wasn't sure about the heat.
I plan on coming down for one of these sooner or later. Quote: Originally Posted by LShirley Im in! might be bringing a car to race! That's great Levi! I love no pressure wheeling. Had a blast! It was definitely a hot one. May have another this fall when its cooler out. I about ended my wheeling early when I pulled over a big rock so todd could park the big rig and bent my steering rod...luckily winched on it a bit to have enough to have decent steering and wrapped the stabilizer to the axle tube out of the way.
