Just took time off and got it verified. Definately comming this year. Now just need to print off the registration forms and send them in.
Looking forward to seeing something different. Also, haven't wheeled small tires in years and will be taking the DD Rubicon on 35s!!

doc, it is a sight to behold to say the least. We have a group that has gone for the last several years and it is one of trips that I really look forward to. We will be pulling in on the thursday and setting up our little camping area to the south of the gate. They try to keep us "not jamboree material" people away from the masses!!

Looking forward to meeting you too. I wanted to make the run last year but couldn't.
Can't wait. Haven't wheeled on 35" tires in a full bodied jeep in years. (except for the time I flopped it on its side twice last year )

Post up. Who else is going? My first wife is going and she doesn't like primitive camping. Anyone ever stayed at the state park cabins?
How long does it take to get from the ranch to the state park, Woody??

Papers with money went out this morning.
Got a new transmission cooler installed yesterday. New throttle position sensor and fluids checked. Installed a TK1 Racing thru the frame swaybar (on and off road) over the weekend. Required some welding. I can weld good..... I just can't see worth a crap! I think the glass on the helmet is pitted!!!![]() Should be ready to go until I get there and start breaking stuff!! ![]() Come on guys... who's going? Post up. .

Well, for those of you who didn't make it, it was the greatest Palo Duro Challenge EVER! (I'm told) Usually it can be very hot and dusty. We had rain Thursday and Friday nite which kept the dust away and the daytime temps were perfect. No rain while wheeling
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Canyon was gorgeous and was much greener than I had expected. This trip surpassed my wildest expectations. I started getting a little artistic with the camera and snapping pictures of all the little wild flowers. I didn't expect to see flowers in the canyon! Here are some yellow flowers in front of a unique feature of the canyon, a "Gypsum Dome." ![]() The trails were quite challenging for a stock Rubicon on 35s but managed everything I put it on. I only bypassed 3 obstacles all weekend and they were BAD. Gee Whiz was one of them I bypassed, and my hat's off to Boogie and Mike for making it look easy. Many thanks to JD & Diane, Gregg and Michael for doing a great job leading the "Red" group. Very helpful and informative on the rocks and plants of the canyon! Clint and the whole "Jeep Exclusive" club did a great job with the organization. Very smooth flow to registration. Very well organized and EVERYTHING started on time!!! At the driver's meeting, Clint said "be here on time or go home." And he meant it! Rick Christian and the whole cooking team did a great job with the meals! Cooked in TEXAS sized cast iron skillets and dutch ovens! I've never had such delicious food outdoors all cooked on primative wood fired grills! I couldn't believe how great the hot dinner rolls and peach cobbler turned out from the dutch ovens. And the steak melted in my mouth. A pretty neat trick to feed 186 people in about 30 minutes..... outdoors! ![]() ![]() Again, many thanks to Clint and April Landry and the whole Jeep Exclusive of Amarillo Club for a job well done! If you didn't go, you missed a great event and some awesome wheeling and fellowship. Met many new friends there I hope to wheel with again in the future. If you see me on the trail, come say "hi" and we'll wheel together. As Billy said, "you can tell it's Doc over there by his 'glowing white head' in the bushes!" Thanks Billy! ![]() .
