sounds kind of simple, but when my 06 dodge did that, i had a battery that wasnt quite up to snuff. Changed out both batteries and not a problem like that since
What year is the truck. I might be able to help, used to mechanic on professionally on Diesels. Now just do it personally. Had 01 putting 435/1200 and now have 09 with 490/1100.
I've seen brand new Vp's take a dump on day 1. Somewhere your wiring has a short or a bad ground possibly.
