Need a local mechanic in Okc that can help me get my new to me cj up and running. 84 cj with stock motor and motocraft carb from a bronco no emissions left on it. Engine runs but needs tuning. Got a great deal on this heep and just want to get it running to drive by the previous owners house and laugh at him. let me know if you have someone nearby that you trust and can work on something like this.
Probably just a shop. Want to drop it off and pick it up ready to go. I'm lazy like that. Have tried a few people to help and all the last guy (he wears short shorts:flipoff2 did was screw up the carb more than it was. My tj is set up for wheeling. This is just my old school around town jeep. Thanks for asking.
There has to be a mech shop out there that someone used and would recommend.
I'm thinking you should just park it in the front yard or on the side of the house as a yard ornament or dust and rodent collector. I mean, that seems to be the fate of 90% of cj's anyways. It's the latest rage with the cj crowd...
Idea: Go ahead and flatten the tires, prop the hood open, fill the engine bay with dirt, and make a planter out of it. Your wify will like that.
