Another Clayton report....
We left thursday morning and ran up to Clayton from Houston to arrive by about five. We stayed in a trailer right behind the NAPA auto parts. Rikmil drove up later that night with his mogged jeep buggy.
First on the list was a quick run to Slim's to weld up my transfer case mount. On the way the nut came off the front output and slung a driveshaft. We just barely caught him in time as Slim was leaving out for the sand drags in Atoka. A quick repair and we were on our way. We left out early on friday morning and went up wet and wild and turned up KT's climb. ![]() It has gotten ate out and I tried the left side, right side, the middle and every other line I could think of, but ended up getting the motor hot and I decided to winch out... ![]() ![]() ![]() Garrett was up next and I didn't think he had a chance...I was wrong and after a couple tries he motored on up with his sweet sounding big block... ![]() Rikmil was next and also opted for the cable...no pics of it. From there we ran up black sheep blvd and it was pretty uneventful, after which we ran cake walk. There were a couple of cool spots but before long we were at the top of the mountain. We ran down to the bottom and finished our day on green momba, when it started raining. It was a fun day and we didn't tear anything up. Next morning we signed up with the fwdfwd run and Mike Green was our trail leader, with Lance bringing up the rear. We started out on the green momba extension. I laid my rig on the side at the first obstacle (waiting on those pics) but eventually made it through unscathed. Garrett crawled it without a hitch as well.

![]() ![]() I'll have a few more pics of the extension soon to fill in. The exit we went up the rock wash on the right which proved to be quite a challenge. ![]() ![]() We went to the black sheep boulevard next and the waterfall was not as easy as last time I was out. Mike green did a slow motion flop with his crazy line. By the time we had him upright the motor was locked with oil on the cylinders. Then there was an electrical gremlin which we finally solved. Next it was my turn and I ended up sliding off the notch and got wedged under the undercut. I took an unconventional line that seemed impossible but it ended up working out. The vid will be up soon.

After we finally got going on black sheep it was time to head back for dinner and the raffle. Didn't win shit myself, but plenty of others got all kinds of cool stuff, from tires to winches, gift certificates and much more.
Next day we ran with Donnie and Lance. We started with Slim's slope on the backside and had a blast. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() From there we went to redneck millionaire and Donnie sent me down the hard way in. It was now raining and everything got greasy. After multiple attempts I decided to get the hell out of there cause the rain was coming down pretty good. After a few hail mary attempts to get out the cable was pulled again. Just getting back up to the top of the mountain was a challenge. Lance's stickies just didn't do anything to the slop and he was the last guy to the top. We went back down the mountain via the three trail. The dropoffs were crazy as slick as it was, but somehow we made it safely to the bottom. We played on green momba and the rain came again, even harder now. We headed back and partied at the A&A. Paul fired up the grill and cooked our steaks to perfection. There was brisket, four different kinds of sausage, salad and some special local brew.... Meno, Yeager, and I did a quick uneventful night run up the creek and got our last fill of wheeling in. Monday was a long boring drive back, but it was well worth it. We made some new friends, caught up with some old friends and had an awesome weekend. Thumbs up for the FWDFWD folks who once again made my memorial day memorable. Donnie, Lance, and Mike Green were great trail leaders, can't wait to hook up again sometime soon!!!

Here's a few pics from Lance's collection of the left line on black sheep waterfall...
![]() ![]() I turned right a little too late...tried to back up but my rear tire became hopelessly wadded up under the ledge. Ended up walking up the left corner and crabwalked it over to the right to come up the ledge. ![]() ![]()

The last pic is a perfect example of too much flex. I got pinned there untill I sucked down both ends then drove on up.

Where's that video of you on Black Sheep Blvd and that footage of me on Slim's Slope?
Jay Albrecht and I are heading up there this weekend. I checked out Bridgeport last weekend. Hot as hell, but that'll be a fun park once it get's a few runs in after a good rain. With Clayton being 2.5 hours away for me, I'll always prefer the wheeling in Clayton.

No plans to cut trails in Daisy with temperatures in the 100's. Maybe, if I had some A/C to retreat to.
