There are a few of us from Northern Oklahoma headed down this weekend. How much rain have they got here lately? What about Daisy? Is it up and ready yet? Anyone else gonna be there? Prolly run Clayton or Daisy Friday and depending on what we get ran, we may run over to Poteau Sat morning.

Jud, Have you seen or heard any news on the new trails @ Daisy? Yes we need to get on the same page. When is the wedding? Thats prolly taking lots of your time isn't it.

Where's Daisy? I'm on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border and never heard of Daisy, but if it's another place to wheel....I want to know about it!

25 or so miles west of Clayton, right off of the Indian Nation Turnpike.

Here is a little info, don't know much about it but I'm like you would love to wheel it.

Yes, staying busy with wedding stuff, its almost here. It's Oct 10th, I'm ready for it to get here. I haven't heard any thing about Daisy except what I have seen on here. When its all operational we will definately be up for a trip there. Some time when we are in your neck of the woods I want to check out the redneck toyhauler you put together. I'm seriously thinking about doing something like that. It's alot easier than constantly trying to find a place to stay.

Just give me a buzz and stop by. It works out really good for what we do. I would like to find a small generator for the right money and we would be set. Have shower now so really doesn't need anything else.

28' Maxey Built G/N with 8' slide in/pop up camper mounted to the front and Scout goes on back.

There's definitely some good stuff at Daisy. About six rigs went last weekend, and there is some stuff that will definitely keep you busy. We did lower creek. There's upper creek as well, but we didn't get that far. It helps to go with someone who has been there before b/c some of the trail entrances get grown up with grass and you really can't see them and you'll pass em. Plus, you're the only ones there. No waiting at all. Definitely worth going. Definitely need winches in your group. Some obstacles you will not make especially with or without water flowing. The rocks at least in lower creek get slicker than those of Green Acres I would say. Trails haven't been run alot and there is still some slick mud on the creek floors. When this place gets going full throttle in a year, it'll be the new place to go.

got any pics from the daisy area????? There is some awsome creek beds on that side of the mountain. I have done a lot of kayaking over there.

Whats it take to get into the Daisy area? Is there a # we can call to get some guidance. Thanks guys, hope to see someone there tomorrow.

I'm very interested in what Poteau is looking like these days, and how difficult is it to access Cavanall Hill?

Also, did you make it over to Daisy? What is it like?

Ya we made it down. Ran Green Acres both days. Ended up with 4 buggies my pig and jeep. Had a blast, no major carnage. I did bust a lockout trying to get out the wedge at the end of green mamba. Sorry we can't report on any Poteau, or Daisy stuff. Maybe on turkey day weekend. Here is a few pictures.

Sweet! Thanks for the update!

I am planning on hitting Poteau and Green Acres over the Thanksiving weekend. My brother, sayb2 on here, is coming back into town from Laramie, WY where he is attending WyoTech for the weekend, which is also his birthday. I would be interested at a later date starting a thread if anyone is interested in joining us for that run.

Just PM me and let me know what everyone's interest would be!

I love your Scout, "pig" as you put it! A 1979 Scout II was my first vehicle, and I plan on building another one at some point. How is yours as a hardcore trail rig? Is it to big, to heavy?

Thx, I love it on the hard stuff, can't seem to keep body panels very straight but hope to solve some of that this winter by tubing the ass end. I'll let you know what our thoughts for Thanksgiving are.
