Who has interest in a "Spring Break Pirate 4x4 South Central Meet-n-Greet" run?
I have discussed this with some other guys on here, but would there be any interest in a meet and greet in the middle of March around Spring Break? No date set yet, but that would be a good time it seems.
I know its quite early, but just throwing this out there to see if there is any interest. |

Me thinks it should be down here, by the gulf. We could have cold beers, boiled crabs and shrimps. And feed the gators!
Seriously, what location would you have in mind? Hot Springs? Clayton? Never been there but that would be a damn good reason to make it my first time.

I think that Clayton-Green Acres, Freilings, Daisy, Poteau would be the prime locations of tough runs for however many days you would want to be in the area.
Do these areas work for everyone? Everyone on here that has been to Clayton loves it, and if you haven't been there, you will love it! Ya, I hear ya Heath about commitment. The Labor Day debacle was out of my hands with the group I was running with. |

Ride
I think it would be a good run and a good turnout with with plenty of notice. I've been looking for an excuse to hit poteau in this rig if that so happens to be the choice. Lets do this people.

Well each area is 3-3 1/2 hours southeast of OKC, and you can ride ATV's, but the places are designed for big rigs.
Hell, the access roads would be fun on any ATV, especially at Green Acres. It's good to see that there is some interest in this, let's keep it up and I'll post a date after the first of the year. |

I may be interested in a trip to Clayton around that time. I've never been there, but I REALLY wanna go. I tried to go this weekend, but all the rooms are booked up.

I would definatly make it. But a couple things to keep in mind. First i believe Poteau is closed? And Clayton has very very little lodging. I too love clayton but if this thing grows into a larger group going then we may want to consider other places. Hot springs superlift ORV park, there is plenty of local hotels and camp sites. (even though i live here and get sick of the same old trails over and over.) Disney has several options for lodging and is alway's fun.
Just things to think about. |

As far as Disney goes, the Big Meat Run is up there around that time.
There is more to offer in SE Oklahoma. Poteau Mountain is closed, but you can still wheel on Cavanal Hill. That is why I started this so early, we could mull around some ideas and then finalize something at a later date. |
