UPDATE!!!! March 25-March 28, 2010...South Central Spring Break Meet-n-Greet
Does this weekend work for everyone? Green Acres, Freilings, Daisy, and Poteau would be the primary locations to run. |

I have not been to Daisy yet...love to go. Green Acres has plenty to wheel over two days and one night but I don't think Freilings has more than 1/2 day (1 day max) unless some new trails have been cut over the past year. Seems that all the new stuff I'm hearing about is at Green Acres and Daisy (moreso at Green Acres).

I know that there isn't as much as to do at Freiling's, but I really think that it is still a great spot with some killer trails that need to be ran!
Mr. Freiling has supported what we do for a long time now, and I think that it would only be fair to him that a big group show up at his place! |

I think I could make that work. Not sure what rig I'll be in, but I don't see any conflicts right now.

I agree about Freilings as well. He has worked hard on making a nice place for us to wheel and we have chosen to take the convienent location over his place. Don't get me wrong, I think Green Acres is a kick ass place, but he has some good trails as well. Maybe its time for us to go over there and take up his offer of cutting some new ones.

Its going to be best to cut trails in the winter that way we don't have critters to deal with, as I'm sure you guys all know!
If this Meet-n-Greet holds up, maybe we should get a group to Freilings after the new year to take a look at his place and the north side of the mountain and see if there is some good stuff on that side of the mountain. If its a good turnout for the Meet-n-Greet, the new trails could use the traffic and provide for more people to want to go there! |

Count me in if I am here. Planning to go to mexico to fish again. Maybe it wont be on the same weekend. I will need to buy a new chainsaw, have one of those old heavy sobs and I would need alot of beer to drink to hang in there with it!!

Well it is getting close the first of 2010 and I am starting to see 2 or 3 posts regarding the Big Meat Run in Disney. The date that I saw was either the first or second weekend of March.
Will the Big Meat Run take away interest in this proposed "Meet-n-Greet" run in Clayton? If so, let's discuss another weekend for this! I am very open to suggestions. Thanks. |

Shain, I know from the 3 other posts on the board around here, looks like Disney is gonna be pretty big this year. I would look at another weekend, and maybe even on out to April. Be tough for people to make 2 trips that close together with money as tight as it is for everyone right now. I am down for Clayton, but most of that depends on my truck and when it is distance worthy.
Oh, and I'm down for Freilings as well, never been there!!

I am going to keep it this weekend. It is the one year that my brother will be away most of the year at WyoTech and that weekend is his Spring Break. Possibly next year the date can change.
So the Pirate 4x4 South Central Spring Break "Meet-n-Greet" is set for March 25-28. I hope that people show up and we can all meet up and finally put some faces with their avatar! |
