Plan is to head to Houston area Sat/Sun 12/26-12/27 then attempt to stay in warm/dry weather thru New Years. Trees Ranch was the plan but their closed so that's out. Would like to stay South of the cold temps, Prefer within 1 day of driving from Houston area, wheel some, mtb some, maybe kayak? Ideas? Never been to Clayton OK but forecast for there is nearly same as here cold and wet. Thinking more south but never been there so.......

treees would have been closed anyways ... its hunting season round these parts now boy !!!

as far as were to wheel around here .... well you got trees , krocks , and gilmer. trees and krocks arent open during hunting season ( yes i know the old krocks closed , im talkin new here ) and gilmer is ok to wheel ... you got a few trails there that are challinging ... otherwise its more of a place to have fun and cover a little ground

Planned to go to Gilmer but just checked and they are closed for the Christmas weekend.

If you are in houston go to spring creek off road park they have a w.e.rock course.

Yep competed there in 2007 in F-toy. Are there other trails there? Don't remember seeing anything else but a big mud pit.......

.We are trying to go to clayton if I get my tire in time for the 1st.

going to be at hidden falls on the 2nd. if your in the central tx area.
