good shop in central ok?

Yo guys, I've got an '03 wrangler rubicon with a 3.5" RE SL kit, among other things. She has firmly developed the ole death wobble, and I'm just gonna bite the bullet and let some "professionals" have at it.

Problem is, I've been out of OK for a few years so I'm not super familiar with the 4x4 scene around here anymore. Is there a solid shop within reasonable driving distance of OKC that can handle some legit front end work, possibly including fabricating a high steer conversion?

Thanks.

Call Supplee 4WD and ask for Bob
Call C.O.R.E.(Custom Off Road Equipment) and ask for Jerry
2 good leads to get you started.

If your getting Death Wobble... Your almost 90% guaranteed for it to be track-bar related.

Have someone move the steering wheel back and forth real quick while you watch the trackbar mounts on both the axle and frame. You should see something move, and know what to replace.

Thanks for the leads Todd, I didn't realize CORE was still around. I remember hearing some negative things years ago, but Jerry sounded very competent on the phone so I might give them a shot. I thought Supplee was just supply, didn't think they had a shop?

Steeltoe, good call, and in fact in the past that's usually been the key (just tightening that trackbar stuff up). I don't know if that instability wore some other things out or if its something else altogether, but the problem seems to have gone beyond that, or at the very least beyond my expertise. Suck.

Got a guy right around the corner from his shop doing some work as well. Good friend of mine, but he does it in his off time as he works full time elsewhere, but damn good at what he does! His name is Mike, ask Bob, he knows him well.

Didn't they have a fistfight that pretty much closed the doors on that place? Never really heard anything good about them, except they were great at showing someone how NOT to do something.

Jerry has done some work on mine, and they are good guys over there at CORE, and support the local scene as well.

I would imagine between CORE and Parola 4x4, you can get fix for your problem at a very fair cost to you.

My TJ developed some nasty death wobble also just last year. I replaced a lot of bushings and it would go away for awhile then come right back. I finally replaced the stock trac-bar with a RE adjustable unit and readjusted the toe to 1/8'' in and the death wobble vanished. I've beat on it fairly hard since then and all is well.

Supplee is the man. I have used him for 10 years now. He can usually beat ANY price out there easily.

I've known Bob Supplee since he moved back to Oklahoma from Iowa in the mid 90's! He doesn't do any fab or anything out of his shop, just sales parts and accessories! If you do your own upgrades or just need specific parts, ie. lockers, hubs, tires, chromo axles, etc., he is your man and will treat you right!

Always go to Bob Supplee before you go anywhere else! His shop is west of Sunnylane Rd. along the I-240 Service Rd. on the south side of I-240. His # is 799-8977!

I guess I should have said store, instead of shop for Bob, but I think the point is made now. Mike's shop is right around the corner from Bob's place, thus it is convenient and he does good work as he is somewhat depending on Bob for word of mouth, so he doesn't want to mess that up.

I didn't know that Mike opened up his own shop? When did this happen? Where is it at again? Is it at his house east of the city?
