1st ANNUAL "NO BEACHES, NO PROBLEMS!" SPRING BREAK IN CLAYTON, OK

Ok guys! This is my way of breaking this run on down! We now have an official title, as I hope to make this an annual run! The ideas have been flowing from everyone! T-shirts are going to be made, and they are pretty bad ass!

Right now, we are looking to have 8-10 rigs with us, running 3/4 ton to 1 ton setups with 38's to 42's!

I got some work done on the shirt design today. I'm not changing much, but i'll give a few different variations and we'll all debate it. My only suggestion would be to think about different color shirts, I like black but I never wear them wheeling because they get so hot. But I'll make anything you guys want.

I'll post up some pics tommorow!

I just booked us a cottage/house in town for the weekend......call me bro for the info.

Here is the schedule I am making off the top of my head:

Thursday, March, 25th: Arrive, possible night run @ Green Acres

Friday, March 26th: Mr. Frielings in Yanush/Buffalo Valley Meet @ 9:00 am on the middle pump deck and go from there; "Toast the Hill" night run @ Green Acres! This is an old tradition from the Frontier Four Wheelers of Oklahoma City, for those who know and for those who want to know!

Saturday, March 27th: Meet @ Green Acres staging area below the entrance between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, if that amount of room allows! If not, then
we'll figure it out! We could possibly then take the group to either KT's Climb or Blacksheep Blvd. for some photo/video opportunities. Or we could do a huge group trail run through Wet-n-Wild to Jeff's Ledges to Green Mamba. Or we could just all go our seperate ways and have a great day of wheeling!

This "schedule" is just an idea! We don't have to stick to anything!

We could do a High-Visibility Green shirt with black lettering!

Black shirts look good but are hotter than hell in the summer...
So i would say black and then just throw in some other colors that would look good without getting too complicated on having to change the lettering or logos too much...
Just my .02

neon green/black/white on medium gray? (similar to our most recent Rocktober shirts)... I really like the hi-vis green idea, but one "trail fix" and it's ruined... just a thought...

I only mentioned the high vis idea because the shirt would stand out at other runs and people would be inquisitive about it and want to know more!

You guys are right about the black shirt though! Way to hott!

I sent a PM to lance about using Pirate 4x4 on the shirts, but no reply yet. Being a vendor on pirate I would really want permission before I did it.

Thanks Heath! I have always wanted to set up a run to southeastern Oklahoma where a bunch of friends can always meet up and socialize! We are all friends on here that drool over each other's build ups and trail rides, but I thought it was time to just meet up at one time!

I have been wheeling since I was 2 years old, its hard to believe that I've been locking hubs in for almost 28 years!

Enough of my history, back to this weekend!

What does everyone think of my tentative schedule? Does everyone want to abide by it or just go their own way?

Do you think contact to a magazine would be out of order or jumping the gun? I really enjoy Crawl, but what other mags are good out there?

I have reserved the house behind the Napa in Clayton for the weekend. We are booked from Thursday to Sunday. We will be pulling out of Sooner Rd. and I-240 in OKC sometime on Thursday, mid morning to mid afternoon, if somebody wants to run down there with us.

This is really coming together quite awesome! I can't wait for SRSGSXR1000 to put up the shirt designs!

All we can hope for is this same weather like we've had this month. Its still 2 months away, but I am getting amped and the lack of trail running since Thanksgiving is really killing me!

By the way, my name is Shain! If referring to me as "linked" is odd to any of you!

Feel free to PM me with any questions and/or suggestions, or just post them on here!

Ok, here is what I have with the shirts. I changed thing a little, and added some things. Let me know your feedback.

P.S. for some reason when I uploaded these to photobucket the colors got jacked. Just know that the yellow looking color is flourescent green.

And a couple pink options for the ladies.

And something simple for the front.

Shirts look good, I would really like to see some black shirts. I wear these to work as well as in the shop and anything but black looks terrible after working in them a couple of time. Plus I'm a messy eater!!
