Spinoff: Changing Rigs

Who has some really contrasting pics of your rig from day 1 to current? Fun to go back and see how much they change!!

This was after the very first trip ever, and it was to Clayton!!! SOA, 34's, stock everything except gears, suspension and cage. 4 banger to boot, and I DROVE IT there and back!!!

Current incarnation. 5.3 Vortec, Atlas 3.8, TH400, 60's, 38.5's, etc...

After only 2 runs though, I am really loving them also! I went with the 39.5, but I am double thinking myself and wishing that I would've gone with the narrower 42.

Yep. My brother had 39.5 rockers on his CJ, took them off and put on my old 42's. He is alot happier with the 42's

The only reason I didn't was because of the weight difference between the tires!

I'll post pics later... I've had my same rig for almost 25 yrs (25 in May)... so, It's undergone some changes... lol. I gotta find those pics from Thanksgiving run @ Clayton in '94, lol. OLDEST pic I have is on top of Greenie Peak outside of Red River, NM in May of '86.

So ya'll lovin' those Pit Bull Rockers, huh?? I've always run Swampers, but fixin' to buy a set of 44" Rockers... haven't heard ANYTHING bad about them, but don't know anyone personally who runs 'em...

My dad and I are both running the 39.5 Rockers, and there is a group of guys that are running them in Arkansas, that I think will be in Clayton during the South Central Pirate Run, we ran into them at Cass during the Rockertoberfest run and they absolutely love them. I'm not saying that they are better than any Interco tire, but I really love them! The 19.5 inch width of the 44 Rocker might deter some people, but once they are mounted, you really notice that your thought of a tire that wide isn't what it actually is!

I ran the 33's and loved them but mine was a DD so they only lasted about 1 1/2 years before they were only worthy for trail duty. Man I miss them...
