OK look Durhamtown changed
I know alot of you have been to Durhamtown a long time or it was just 2 yrs ago or maybe even 8 months ago. But Durhamtown has changed and the only way for it to get better is to have more people come out and see the changes. Hell come out and look at the O Course above the day parking lot, stop by Boulder Ridge and check it out, or ask to see Slippery Nipple, its the only Off Road Park in GA that offers alittle bit of everything.
The owner is trying to build a park that offers something for everyone and needs you all to come out and see what he is doing for the Off Road Junkie in all of us. Hell youtube Durhamtown and see what they have or go to their website www.durhamtownoffroad.com . There is an event coming up at Durhamtown on St Pattys day. There will be a poker run that will cover the whole park come on out and see what Durhamtown has to offer. I drive from Savannah about once a month or so and have a blast out there. |

I had the first annual JT Rocks ride at Durhamtown to honor my fallen friend. I will agree that is has changed quite a bit from the mud pit and dirt hills park it used to be to a viable wheeling destination. The amount of rock that is on Boulder Ridge is amazing. It needs to be ridden hard to expose more of the granite. I will be there Feb 25th to do my part

The fact is, we only had three parks in this general area, River Rock, Gulches, and Durhamtown. Now that River Rock is closed, we must support what we have left. I know that Mike has lost money on the truck park since he opened it, and he will see how this year goes before doing anything. Maybe we can have a save Durhamtown ride like we did at Gulches. Over 800 trucks showed for the Gulches Ride....that would send a clear message to Mike. It would also improve the trails to have them beat on by a bunch of trucks over the course of the weekend.

Ill come check the place out for that ride. I have been on ATV's a couple times and always mean to go check out the truck section but never think of it till we are leaving.

Sounds good. It wont be an organized ride with a start time or anything. Just a way to flood Durhamtown for one day and show Mike that we support our local parks!

Planning on being there with atleast 4 to 5 other trucks. Never been because i didnt think there would be much hard wheeling, but looks like the changes may change my mind. Hopefully thell be a nice turnout. Btw on the site i dont see much talk about tent camping, is there a campground or anything or is it in with the rv sites, anyone know?

![]() On another note, I have just talked to the owner of Durhamtown and we are a go for the Feb 25th ride to show support for this park! They are having an MX event there on the same day, but it will not interfere with us and there will be plenty of parking. Mike also told me that he is in talks with ECORS about running a race at Durhamtown in July. It isn't a done deal, but looks very promising at the moment. This would be huge and put D Town on the map for us. Durhamtown is really stepping it up with the truck park and very committed to us, so come out Feb 25th and show him support!

Hmm, I might have to do the March one, I think Feb is too early, I need to swap trannys and get new driveline and I'm busy with school right now. March is at least during spring break
