![]() Send a pm to whitejuggy here on the PBB for more information.Royal Blue is close to Jellico, but has nothing to do with the Rock Crawl area. They are better set up for quads and sxs. Weaver |

We have had some groups reschedule their park dates so there is now one open weekend in October. At this time the park is booked for all of September and the only open weekend in October is the 5th - 7th. November is also open at this time. Send whitejuggy a pm for more information.
Thanks, Weaver |

I'm not sure. My wheeling account is still recovering from last years UA. I know some of the guys from CC4x4 have been talking about it recently. I know I want a little redemption on that creek crossing! We'll see.

Weaver,
Do these groups renting the park allow outsiders? I will assist with cost if allowed to attend. Note..... I rode royal blue and sand mines on my SXS last month. There are some great lines to explore at the sand mines. I can tell trucks are in there on occasion. Just need more details on how to access via an off road car and if it will be looked down upon by law enforcement.

There is some parking for the sandmines off of the 134 exit, across from the trail head. That being said, there have been several vehicles broken into at the parking area.
I live close by and have been stopped going and coming from the sandmines via Royal Blue on the east side of I-75. Luckily, a buddy with ties to the local law enforcement was right behind me. Long story short, it depends on which one stops you. |

I would prefer to stay at the motel across from the Pilot station. Then run down the roadside like I did in the SXS. This worked to get to sandmines and eternal flame. They may look at a V8 buggy different than a SXS.

I would not want to tell you to just show up without talking with the group renting the park. I know the Bacon's are going to rent for a weekend and there is Max from Moab 4X4 (Louisville) who has the park reserved in October. Get ahold of one of them and I am sure you would get an invite to tag along.
I have not been to the Sand Mines yet but Jason rides it every few months in his rig. You do have to have a permit. There is a Hampton Inn off of exit 134 that has good parking and is only a mile or so from the trail head. Might be a good place to come in from. Quote:

I am a regular at Harlan, golden mnt, royal blue, windrock but some the best riding east of the mississippi is jellico! What a great park, everything from easy to extreme and then there is the comp course that you could play on for days. It is by far my favorite place to go. More trails will be opening there soon, so if you get the chance to go, don't pass it up.
Just my .02.
