Are there any plans for trail maintenance or cleanup rides or trail cutting rides? I'd really like to get into this |

Our local group from Southern Illinois (gaorc.com) will be there over the 0ct. 20th weekend. We go to harlan every fall but usually go the 2nd weekend in October and not the 3rd.
We will have 6 to 12 rigs depending on who shows up and they vary from mild rigs on 33's to V8 rigs on 40 and 42" tires. We usually hit most all the hard trails with the mild rigs bypassing or meeting us at the other end. We will be staying at the Putney Trailhead and usually run a bunch of trails while we are there. Are their any organized trail rides we can steer clear of to keep traffic down on the more popular trails? For example I'd hate to pull up to Mason Jar on Saturday and see a parking lot when we could have ran it on Friday with no traffic. Also is there an organized rock crawl or bounty hill kinda deal at the fall crawl?

There was nothing new this weekend.
And whoever said fish fossil was hard must have a trail wrong or something. It poured rain every day on us and there wasn't much to it.

What's this I'm hearing about them blocking off and piling a mound of dirt on the waterfall before railbed so you can only go up the left hand side??

I've been hearing about new trails for a while now, but haven't seen them and don't know anyone that has run them. Doesn't mean they're not there, but no one is saying anything about them. I'm not sure about anything being done since the time they were doing Grapevine and such.
As far as the pile up in front of the waterfall, that came from the CORE guys that were down there this past weekend. Said you can only go up the left side (same place the buggy bounced off the waterfall and sling shot off the tree). Oh... and not absolutely positive I'm going. I've got seven days straight of wheeling after fall crawl. I don't know if both are going to be in the budget. I'm hoping so though.
