Tony thanks for posting this. The Windrock ATV Club will be at the lower shed. Trash Bags will be provided. We will pass out Trail # assignments. Great to see other groups getting involved.

I went to windrock this past weekend and run into some of the Tn Mnt Junkies and seems they do alot to keep up the trails and seem like a great bunch of guys. A older fella named Doug even gave me a tow back to camp after i broke down at the end of 39, definitely wouldnt mind doin some more wheelin with those guys

Members of the Windrock ATV Club and East Tennessee 4WD Jeep Club joined forces today for a trash pickup day at the Coal Creek OHV area. Several members departed with Trail Assignments early this morning. We returned to the Maintenance Shop around 12 noon for lunch. Fellowship was enjoyed by all. Thank you to Brent Galloway and Coal Creek Ventures for providing the lunch for everyone.

It was great to see many different OHV enthusiast come together to support the OHV park. I met several new people from the Jeep side of the OHV and really enjoyed talking to them at lunch. We will have to do this again in the fall. Thanks everyone.

I picked up a passenger today on the trail. I left it in and rode all day then when I got home, I pulled it out and plugged the hell out of it and rotated the tires so that plug is on the back "non digging" side of the tire. Keeping fingers crossed...

I know of a rather large group of Nissan Xterras are coming down, and a group of fj cruisers.

I may show up with a few tacomas but will not know for sure until mid May........just wondering how crowded the place will be.

I would like for someone to show me the new trail from 40 to 3 if I'm able to make it.....or join up with a small group that will be running it.

Jus gimme a heads up...im jus 30 or so minutes away. I can show u some stock stuff trails to buggy stuff. Im slowly learning the trails pretty good.

Cool.....I'll let you know when it gets a little closer....

I'm slowly learning the trails also....keep posting the videos and the gopro vids of the entire trail run.....those help a ton when trying to see how the trail is before you get out there.

No problem...thats why i started posting them. When i first started i searched for videos like that and couldnt believe there wasnt any.

I think ive got most of the/hard trails videod....minus Rai Trail and Atomic Ridge. I have no use for RattleRock....most people know that trail any way. Same gies for 22...everybody rides that trail. 35 and 36 are good cruising trails...but boring to video.

With 70,000 acres I imagine that it will be hard to pack Windrock out. There should also be some new trails opened by then. Hope yall decide to come down.

Tony, we have a few TJ's planning on coming this weekend. Do you think the atvs and sidebysides are gonna pack the trails?
Also, has there been a fix to the trail that was washed out in December?

Last time we ran 15, lil mule, and 39 to 3 I think and back out to a main type road. We went thru the creek (rail trail?) and then worked our way up and took a left turn to the big coal pile and it was a bunch of work. A BUNCH of work!

I don't think so. like stated earlier, the place is huge and most trails have pull off/over areas. I haven't encountered too many trail-hogs back there, but it only takes "one".

As for the washout, it's still there. However, there has been a path driven across it to the other side. While i've done it, it does have one spot where it gets a little off camber. Maybe a cake-walk to some, but figured it's worth mentioning.

Sounds like you ended up on Rail Trail. We generally do a loop of 15, mule, schoolbus then cadillac or 3.

As far as I know...Scottal(Alex), and I will be doing Atomic Ridge. Well....Alex will be doing the trail, i'll be attempting it.
