New to CA. Looking for a group to wheel with

I just moved from Utah to SoCal for work, and want to wheel. I'm in the LA area (Lawndale) and have no idea where all the good trails are. I've been to Moab a couple times with friends, and used to wheel around a bit in the desert west of Salt Lake City.

I have an 82 K5 on 33s, lockers, engine driven OBA, winch. I like light/moderate trails and overnight trips, but would be down for anything my vehicle can handle. I'm a pretty laid back guy and bring my own tools/spares, and I dont think I'd slow anyone down.

Looking for groups/clubs in the LA area that go wheel on the weekends and can show me some cool trails in the area.

Lots of wheelers in the South Bay. Not sure about clubs. It's a good time to explore Big Bear. Their are trails everywhere.

If I hear of anybody I'll post up.

Big Bear Forest Fest is this weekend. Easy way to meet some people and explore some trails.

Thanks both for your replys. The IE4W website shows registration for Big Bear is closed and I have to work late Friday anyway. I'll keep an eye out for it next year though, and maybe try to get in on some of that group's other runs.
